The low temperatures have the significant impact on forklift power systems. Bojun's technical guidance points out that diesel forklifts are prone to fuel waxing and hard starting,so the diesel forklifts require antifreeze replacement in advance (the freezing point is at least 5°C lower than the local lowest temperature to prevent the radiator from freezing and cracking). The engine should be preheated before operation. For electric forklifts, the charging environment should be controlled above -20°C. Before charging, ensure that the battery terminals are free of oxides to prevent short circuits, and thermal blankets are a good choice to prevent battery capacity loss.
